Command execution via concatenated backup options
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
OS command injection in Adaltas backmeup 0.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via backup options. The backup, cleanup, and listing functions concatenate name, source, destination, and filter values into shell strings without neutralizing metacharacters before passing them to ssh2-exec. Exploitation requires a consuming application to supply attacker-controlled options; commands run on the backup host or configured SSH target.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
