Memory disclosure or crash via unchecked ea_num_ptrs

Heap out-of-bounds read in gfs2-utils on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, 8, and 9 allows attackers to disclose memory or crash tools. Extended attribute processing trusts the on-disk ea_num_ptrs field without validating it against the allocated heap buffer, so crafted metadata drives an over-read. Exploitation requires a user to process an untrusted GFS2 filesystem image; the resulting read can expose adjacent heap contents or terminate the affected utility.
