Browser script execution via unescaped pid reflection
Published Apr 27, 2026 · Updated Apr 27, 2026
Reflected cross-site scripting in Code Projects Employee Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to inject script via mark.php. The mark.php handler places the pid query parameter into a hidden input value attribute without HTML escaping, allowing attribute breakout and script markup. Exploitation requires a victim, such as an administrator, to open the crafted URL; the injected code then runs in that victim’s browser context.
