Improper access control in Oracle VM VirtualBox Core 7.2.14 allows local users to read and modify data and cause a partial denial of service. Oracle has not published the affected code path or the operation that mishandles trusted state, and the public CNA, NVD, and vendor advisory disclose no finer mechanism than a Core flaw. Exploitation requires logon access with high privileges on the infrastructure running VirtualBox, so triage centers on privileged host users rather than guest-only or remote attackers.
