CVE-2026-71054Network attack vector

Denial of service via unbounded 2D allocation

Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026

Resource exhaustion in Oracle Java SE 7u511 2D allows remote attackers to cause a hang or repeatable crash via crafted API data. The published CWE mapping identifies resource allocation without limits or throttling in the 2D component, but Oracle has not disclosed the affected API. Exposure requires an application or web service to pass remote data into 2D APIs, or a sandboxed client to run untrusted code; the bounded result is a hang or frequently repeatable process crash.
