Authenticated code execution via unchecked password copy
Published Apr 27, 2026 · Updated Apr 27, 2026
Buffer overflow in Tenda F456 firmware 1.0.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to crash httpd or execute code via QuickIndex. When mit_linktype equals 2, formQuickIndex passes the user-supplied PPPOEPassword value to sub_3B860 without a length check, overflowing stack buffer s. Access to /goform/QuickIndex is required; successful exploitation interrupts router administration or runs code in the httpd context.
