Authenticated profile modification via unchecked route ID
Published Apr 27, 2026 · Updated Apr 27, 2026
Improper authorization in Code Projects Invoice System in Laravel 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or modify other profiles. The /profile/{id} GET and POST workflow resolves a user-controlled route ID without verifying that the record belongs to the signed-in user. Low-privileged access is required; changing the URL ID exposes another user's profile data and permits changes to names, email addresses, and settings.
