Authenticated file overwrite via unchecked archive paths
Published Apr 27, 2026 · Updated Apr 27, 2026
Path traversal in Toonflow 1.1.0 through 1.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite application files via a crafted update archive. The downloadApp endpoint fetches the supplied URL, extracts the ZIP without checking entry paths, and force-copies extracted content into active application directories. Exploitation requires valid credentials and a reachable attacker-controlled archive; HBAI-Ltd disputes reachability because official builds compile a static update URL.
