Authenticated code execution via unchecked sprintf
Published Apr 27, 2026 · Updated Apr 27, 2026
Stack overflow in Tenda F456 Firmware 1.0.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted GO parameter. The formWrlExtraSet handler passes the user-controlled GO value through sub_39978 to sprintf without a length check, overflowing the stack buffer s_. Access to the router's HTTP administration endpoint is required; a sufficiently long POST to /goform/WrlExtraSet can crash httpd or redirect execution.
