Administrator-side script execution via decoded backup fields
Published Oct 1, 2026 · Updated Oct 1, 2026
Stored XSS in GetSimple CMS Community Edition 3.3.22 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run script in an administrator's browser. The backup viewer in admin/backup-edit.php decodes saved page metadata and content, then outputs the values without HTML re-escaping. Exploitation requires page-edit access and an administrator opening that page's backup; the script runs in the administrative control-panel context.
