Data exfiltration via unauthorized embedding endpoint changes
Published Aug 4, 2026 · Updated Aug 4, 2026
Missing authorization in Odysseus before commit bf325f6 allows remote authenticated users to alter the server-wide embedding backend. The /api/embeddings router authenticates sessions but does not apply require_admin, permitting non-admin users to replace or delete persisted endpoint configuration. An attacker-controlled endpoint receives later chat, RAG, memory, and vault text in plaintext, while deletion interrupts embedding service for all users.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
