Cross-origin data disclosure via unenforced custom-scheme CORS
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Cross-origin policy bypass in Electron affected releases allows remote attackers to read sensitive custom-scheme response bodies. Schemes registered with supportFetchAPI enabled but corsEnabled absent or disabled omit CORS enforcement for fetch and XMLHttpRequest reads. Exploitation requires an application that returns sensitive data through such a scheme and loads remote or untrusted renderer content.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
