CVE-2026-70600Network attack vector

UI spoofing via cross-origin autofill popup positioning

Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026

UI redressing in Electron allows remote attackers to spoof trusted interface elements through a misplaced native autofill popup. A cross-origin iframe can place the native autofill popup outside its own bounds and over trusted controls in the embedding window. Exploitation requires an app window that combines untrusted iframe content with trusted UI and requires user interaction, enabling clickjacking rather than code execution.
