Unauthenticated information disclosure via unterminated RDP data
Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026
Information disclosure in Windows Remote Desktop Protocol allows remote attackers to read memory data via crafted network traffic. The protocol implementation fails to null-terminate internal data before later processing exposes adjacent memory, but Microsoft has not named the affected message field or code locus. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the disclosed data cannot be modified through this flaw.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
