Authenticated code execution via unchecked sprintf
Published Apr 26, 2026 · Updated Apr 26, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda F456 Firmware 1.0.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute code or crash httpd. In fromSafeUrlFilter, an empty menufacturer parameter causes sprintf to copy the unbounded page value into stack buffer s. Access to authenticated web management is required; successful exploitation can take over the httpd process or interrupt the router's management service.
