Authenticated SSRF via unvalidated Playwright sub-resources
Published Aug 4, 2026 · Updated Aug 4, 2026
SSRF in Open WebUI 0.9.6 through versions before 0.11.0 allows remote authenticated users to read internal HTTP responses via crafted pages. SafePlaywrightURLLoader interceptors return early for every resource type other than document, so attacker-controlled JavaScript sends sub-resource requests without URL validation and places response data in the returned DOM. Exploitation requires WEB_LOADER_ENGINE=playwright, a reachable browser, and access to URL ingestion or web search; it grants reads only from services reachable by that browser.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
