Authenticated code execution via unfiltered theme archives
Published Apr 26, 2026 · Updated Apr 26, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in GreenCMS 2.0 through 2.3 allows remote authenticated users to place dangerous files through theme addition. The themeadd handler accepts an uploaded archive without filtering its contents and automatically extracts embedded web shells into the web root. Access to theme management is required, and an extracted PHP web shell executes with the web server's privileges.
