Authenticated dangerous-file upload via plugin ZIP import
Published Apr 26, 2026 · Updated Apr 26, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in GreenCMS 2.0 through 2.3 allows remote authenticated users to write dangerous files via plugin import. The pluginAddLocal method accepts an uploaded ZIP into WEB_CACHE_PATH and sends its path directly to UpdateEvent::applyPatch, without restricting dangerous archive content at the upload boundary. An authenticated session with access to the administrative plugin-add endpoint is required; a crafted plugin archive can place attacker-controlled files where GreenCMS processes them.
