Secret-key disclosure and relationship forgery via predicate injection
Published Aug 9, 2026 · Updated Aug 9, 2026
Predicate injection in Ash 1.52.0-rc.11 through 3.31.0 allows attackers to forge record relationships and recover secret lookup keys. setup_managed_belongs_to_relationships/3 passes an uncast nested map to Ash.Query.filter/2 and omits a one-record limit, converting a scalar lookup into a predicate and response oracle. Exploitation requires a client-controlled belongs_to lookup configured with on_lookup: :relate; destination read authorization still applies.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
