Root command execution via description newlines
Published Apr 26, 2026 · Updated Apr 26, 2026
Command injection in tufantunc ssh-mcp 1.0 through 1.5.0 allows local users to execute commands through a crafted description. In src/index.ts, exec and sudo-exec append description to a shell command after escaping only number signs, so embedded line breaks reach shell.write as additional commands. Exploitation requires an active su shell configured with --suPassword; injected commands run in that persistent root shell, although the exec tool already accepts arbitrary commands.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
