Unauthenticated administrative access via traversal whitelist bypass
Published Apr 26, 2026 · Updated Apr 26, 2026
Path traversal in the HTTP handler of Tenda i9 firmware 1.0.0.5(2204) allows remote attackers to bypass authentication. R7WebsSecurityHandlerfunction accepts URLs beginning with a public-directory prefix without canonicalizing the remaining path, so traversal segments escape that directory. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful requests expose restricted administrative pages and confidential information.
