Remote code execution via type confusion
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Type confusion in Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based) before 151.0.4129.78 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted web content. Microsoft describes the flaw only as access of a resource using an incompatible type and has not disclosed the affected Edge component or the invalid cast or object handling that triggers the confusion. Exploitation is client-side rather than a server compromise path: opening attacker-supplied content is required, and published scoring shows confidentiality and integrity impact without a listed availability effect.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
