Remote code execution via unchecked strcat
Published Apr 26, 2026 · Updated Apr 26, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda F456 Firmware 1.0.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted HTTP request. The /goform/SafeClientFilter handler passes the Go value to strcat into fixed stack buffer s without checking its length when menufacturer equals tenda. Low-privileged web-interface access is required; successful exploitation corrupts httpd memory, allowing code execution or a service crash.
