Unauthenticated account impersonation via forged JWTs
Published Apr 26, 2026 · Updated Apr 26, 2026
Authentication bypass in Datavane Datavines through commit 13607645e14a4982468cfdbcf75c85cde63bae71 allows remote attackers to forge JWTs. TokenManager falls back to a shared secret, while AuthenticationInterceptor compares a token password with the same token-derived value. Under the default configuration, knowledge of a valid username is sufficient to impersonate that user and access protected API endpoints without a password.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
