Boa service crash via unbounded nextHop copy
Published Apr 25, 2026 · Updated Apr 25, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda HG10 firmware HG7_HG9_HG10re_300001138_en_xpon allows remote authenticated users to crash Boa. The formRoute handler passes the request-controlled nextHop value from boaGetVar to strcpy, which copies it into a 20-byte stack buffer without a length check. The CNA rates the path as low-privileged, although the public proof of concept states that authentication is unnecessary; only a Boa service crash is demonstrated.
