CVE-2026-69877Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Credential disclosure via Git-remote origin validation

Published Oct 13, 2026 · Updated Oct 13, 2026

Origin validation in Azure DevOps CLI Extension 1.0.6 allows remote attackers to read credentials through crafted Git remotes. The release's validation patch indicates that VstsGitUrlInfo.get_vsts_info parses untrusted remotes without consistent canonicalization before acquiring and attaching credentials, allowing URL-parser disagreement to bypass host checks. User interaction and available client credentials are required; the disclosed impact is credential exposure, not code execution or service interruption.
