A default password in the XING communications adapter designated CPTrans M.E.-X before 1.8.1.17 allows remote attackers to log in through the Web UI. Initial configuration assigns a common Web UI password instead of demanding a device-unique credential. Credential knowledge is required for access; published material does not identify the resulting account role or functions available after login.
