Unauthenticated code execution via stack buffer overflow
Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Windows DHCP Server allows remote attackers to execute code through crafted network traffic. Microsoft identifies the affected locus only as Windows DHCP Server and has not disclosed which parser or copy operation overruns the stack buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required, but high attack complexity applies; successful exploitation executes code in the service context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
