Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026
Stored XSS in Cost of Goods for WooCommerce 4.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject JavaScript through shortcode attributes. The alg_wc_cog_product_cost and alg_wc_cog_product_profit handlers render user-controlled attributes without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient to persist a payload in a page, where it executes in the browser of each user who views that page.
