Remote code execution via incorrect buffer calculation
Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Incorrect buffer calculation in Windows iSCSI on affected Windows releases allows remote attackers to execute code via network traffic. The iSCSI component computes an undersized buffer for untrusted protocol data, but Microsoft has not disclosed the responsible message, function, or copy operation. Exploitation requires a target user to interact with attacker-controlled content; successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied code.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
