CVE-2026-69575

Local privilege escalation via use-after-free

Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026

Use-after-free in Microsoft Windows Storage Spaces Controller allows local users with low privileges to elevate privileges. The controller accesses a previously freed memory object, but Microsoft has not disclosed the responsible routine or attacker-controlled operation. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access, no user interaction, and a high-complexity condition; success compromises confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
