CVE-2026-6941Public exploit

File read and write via symlinked project notes

Published Apr 23, 2026 · Updated Apr 23, 2026

Path traversal in radare2 before 6.1.4 allows local users to read or write files by importing a crafted .zrp project archive. The r_core_project_notes_file() function returns an imported notes.txt path without rejecting a preserved symlink, so Pn operations follow it beyond dir.projects. Exploitation requires importing the archive and invoking a note operation, and file access remains limited to the importing user's permissions.
