CVE-2026-6940Public exploit

Arbitrary directory deletion via unchecked project path

Published Apr 23, 2026 · Updated Apr 23, 2026

Path traversal in radare2 before 6.1.4 allows local users to recursively delete arbitrary writable directories via crafted project paths. The P- command accepts an absolute project marker path, and r_core_project_delete() derives its parent and passes it to r_file_rm_rf() without confirming containment under dir.projects. Exploitation requires a local user to make radare2 process the crafted path; deletion is limited to directories writable by the radare2 process.
