Authorization bypass in IBM Db2 12.1.0 through 12.1.4 allows remote authenticated users to upload data to remote object storage via a special query. IBM has not disclosed the affected Db2 code path or the authorization check that mishandles the special query. Authenticated Db2 access and remote-object-storage upload activity are required; the published impact is unauthorized data modification, not disclosure or service interruption.
