CVE-2026-69306Network attack vector

Local HTTP access via IPv6 filter bypass

Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026

Security feature bypass in Microsoft Visual Studio Code before 1.132.1 allows remote attackers to reach local HTTP services via agent tools. In src/vs/platform/networkFilter/common/domainMatcher.ts, the URL authority matcher mishandles bracketed IPv6 literals and treats HTTP(S) normalization failures as allowed instead of denying the request. Exploitation requires the agent network filter to be enabled and the attacker to influence agent instructions or tool arguments for Fetch Page or the Integrated Browser, letting deny-all or allowlist policies be bypassed.
