Browser script execution via stored administrative content
Published Aug 21, 2026 · Updated Aug 21, 2026
Stored XSS in Esri Portal for ArcGIS 11.1 through 11.5 allows remote authenticated users with administrative privileges to run browser script. Esri has not disclosed the affected input field, storage path, or rendering routine that emits administratively supplied content without safe neutralization. Administrative access is required to store the payload; execution occurs in a victim's browser and can read or alter data available to that browser session.
