Subscriber-level arbitrary post trashing via broken guard
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Incorrect authorization in WP Table Builder 2.2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to trash or restore arbitrary WordPress posts. An operator-precedence error prevents the post-type guard in trash_table_bulk() and restore_table_bulk() from firing, while the permission callback checks only plugin-role membership and accepts arbitrary post IDs. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and exploitation can remove or reinstate posts, pages, and custom post types regardless of ownership.
