CVE-2026-69214Network attack vector

Session fixation via unchecked cookie domains

Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026

Cookie validation failure in http4s before 0.23.35 and 1.0.0-M1 through 1.0.0-M46 allows remote attackers to fix sessions via crafted responses. CookieJar stores a response cookie's Domain attribute verbatim without checking that it domain-matches the response host or rejecting public suffixes. Exploitation requires one jar to contact both an attacker-controlled or compromised server and a trusted host, enabling security-sensitive cookie replacement.
