HTML exposure via unsanitized public footer output
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
HTML injection in FileRise before 3.21.0 allows attackers to retrieve unsanitized footer markup via its public configuration API. AdminModel.php buildPublicSubset() casts branding.footerHtml to a string without sanitizing it before unauthenticated output. An administrator must first store malicious HTML; the existing frontend sanitizes rendering, so script execution requires an alternate client that renders the value unsafely.
