CVE-2026-6914Network attack vector

Authenticated service crash via binDataClean integer underflow

Published Apr 29, 2026 · Updated Apr 29, 2026

Integer underflow in affected MongoDB Server releases allows remote authenticated users to crash the service via malformed BSON input. The binDataClean() path processes deprecated-type BSON length metadata without rejecting an underflow before MD5 calculation. Low-privilege database access is required; successful exploitation crashes mongod and temporarily interrupts database availability.
