CVE-2026-69112Public exploitHinoki check available

Arbitrary file reads and hangs via unsanitized weight_map

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Path traversal in Hugging Face Accelerate 1.14.0 and earlier allows attackers to read arbitrary files or hang model loading. The load_checkpoint_in_model and load_checkpoint_and_dispatch functions join untrusted sharded-index weight_map values to the checkpoint directory without rejecting parent-directory, absolute, or special-file paths. Exploitation requires a user or application to load an attacker-authored sharded checkpoint; file access is limited to the process account, while FIFO targets block the loader indefinitely.
