Authenticated list hijacking via skipped ownership checks
Published Aug 3, 2026 · Updated Aug 3, 2026
Insecure direct object reference in Admidio before 5.0.11 allows remote authenticated users to hijack saved list configurations. The save_temporary branch in modules/groups-roles/mylist_function.php loads a supplied list_uuid but skips the ownership and administrator checks applied to other modes before saving the referenced record. A regular authenticated user with a valid session token and visible role UUID can overwrite an enumerated global list, transfer its ownership, demote it to a private list, and then modify or delete it.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
