Cross-organization role modification via unscoped UUID lookup
Published Aug 3, 2026 · Updated Aug 3, 2026
Missing authorization in Admidio before 5.0.11 allows remote authenticated users to modify roles across organizations via role UUIDs. The groups_roles.php delete, activate, deactivate, and save handlers resolve a supplied role UUID globally and mutate the role without verifying its organization. The attacker must hold Role Administrator rights in one organization and know another organization's role UUID; successful requests alter or delete that role and its access assignments.
