Cross-scope database disclosure via unvalidated avID
Published Aug 3, 2026 · Updated Aug 3, 2026
Path traversal in SiYuan before 3.7.3 allows remote attackers to read cross-scope database content through attribute-view endpoints. RenderAttributeView and three related readers join a caller-controlled id or avID beneath DataDir/storage/av and load existing .json paths without checking that the cleaned path remains inside that directory. Access requires a RoleReader publish token, or no credentials when publish authentication is disabled; the result is limited to compatible JSON data and a path-existence oracle.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
