Authenticated key disclosure via missing profile-visibility checks
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
Information disclosure in Gitea 1.27.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read SSH and GPG key metadata via its API. The user key-list API route group omits the profile-visibility guard, so its handlers return public keys, titles, fingerprints, and GPG-embedded email addresses without enforcing Limited visibility. A restricted account is sufficient; the disclosure exposes public key material and metadata, not private cryptographic keys.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
