CVE-2026-68911Network attack vector

Memory exhaustion via unbounded peer-message decompression

Published Sep 29, 2026 · Updated Sep 29, 2026

Denial of service in Nicotine+ before 3.3.11 allows remote attackers to exhaust host memory through crafted zlib-compressed peer messages. The peer-message decompression path expands attacker-controlled content without bounding the resulting output size. A modified Soulseek peer must deliver a message to the running client; memory exhaustion can interrupt the client or its host.
