Authenticated privilege elevation via SQL injection
Published Aug 20, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
SQL injection in Microsoft Azure SQL Database allows remote authenticated users to elevate privileges through crafted SQL input. Microsoft has not published the affected service component, query-construction locus, or exact input pathway that fails to neutralize SQL metacharacters. An authorized database context and network access are required, and successful exploitation grants privileges beyond those assigned to that context.
