Denial of service in JetBrains Ktor before 3.4.1 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via crafted compressed WebSocket messages. JetBrains has not published which WebSocket decompression routine fails; the public record discloses only that compressed-frame handling reaches a denial-of-service condition during decompression. Exposure requires an application that accepts attacker-controlled compressed WebSocket traffic, and published scoring bounds the consequence to availability loss rather than data disclosure or modification.
