CSS injection via uninspected at-rule input
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
CSS injection in html_sanitize_ex 0.3.1 through 1.4.4 and 1.5.0-rc.0 through 1.5.3 allows remote attackers to inject at-rules. HtmlSanitizeEx.Scrubber.CSS.scrub/1 allowlists only property-value matches, copying unmatched at-rules such as @import unchanged. No authentication is required, but exploitation requires html5/1, a matching custom scrubber, or direct scrub/1 use and rendering the result to other users; content stays within style elements and cannot execute script.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
