CVE-2026-68565Network attack vector

Contributor stored XSS via AJAX search parameters

Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026

Stored XSS in AJAX search handling in AyeCode GeoDirectory 2.8.172 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run script in a victim browser. Public detail is limited, but the vendor's August 14, 2026 changelog states that AJAX search parameters needed stronger validation and output encoding, indicating that user-controlled search values were reflected into page content without sufficient neutralization. Exploitation requires contributor-level access and user interaction, so the practical consequence is browser-side script execution in the viewer's session rather than direct server compromise.
